RICHMOND INSIDER CHOSEN TO CONDUCT SOCIOECONOMIC STUDY
Chmura Economics & Analytics, a Richmond insider whose main reference is McGuire Woods, VUI lobbyist, was chosen by the Virginia Coal & Energy Commission Uranium Mining Subcommittee to conduct the socioeconomic study of uranium mining. Public was not afforded an opportunity to comment, nor was there any discussion of proposals by Subcommittee members. Citizens and environmental groups asked the Subcommittee to pick the Old Dominion University. Their requests were not even discussed at the meeting.

National Academies of Science Study Committee on Uranium Mining is Coming to Danville on Dec. 13th.
